Groundlings

Stagenorth Groundlings, Inc. was founded in 2011 as a non-profit extension of StageNorth. The Groundlings’ mission is to support and facilitate educational theater outreach programs providing the children of the Chequamegon Bay area with opportunities to see, participate in, and to experience productions and classes at Stagenorth. The Groundlings, in partnership with Stagenorth, will provide funding for the following:

  • Free or reduced rate classes and summer theater camps
  • Transportation for school children to attend appropriate productions
  • Free or reduced rates for tickets for special shows during the school day
  • Scholarships to students (based on need) for classes offered at Stagenorth
  • Outreach to area schools to help provide theater opportunities for students
  • Special projects for Stagenorth that are outside the day to day operations, based on need and input from the community

The result of this work by the Groundlings has created The StageNorth Theater Education Project in 2012. To learn about the plan for Year 1, click here. Coordinating the Education Department is Jessica Zuehlke, a veteran theater teacher and professional, to contact her click here or call 651-800-0028.
